Each year we have continued to raise the bar for all our great athletes and 2012 is no exception. From the experienced to the first-timers to the children — whether you run, swim, bike or watch — there’s plenty of exceptional racing opportunities for the entire family all season long right here at SkanRaces.com.
Our 2012 Racing Season starts off on two wheels with the scenic 24-mile Race4Hope on the East side of Skaneateles Lake in Borodino. Now in its sixth year, this race is designed to be both challenging and fun.
Next, Auburn’s picturesque Emerson Park and Deuville Island become the settings for the third annual OwascoMan Sprint Triathlon. This event continues to grow in both popularity and participation each year and is not to be missed. And for all you little budding Triathletes out there, there’s the Mini’Wasco Youth Triathlon for kids 8 - 14 years of age. The course is safe, contained within the park on Deauville Island and very spectator friendly!
Our 2012 Racing Season concludes with two full days of racing during the venerable Labor Day Race Weekend. The charming Village of Skaneateles nestled on the North end of the jewel of the Finger Lakes Region - Skaneateles Lake - plays host to this exciting events created specifically for athletes, their families and guests.
Here, amongst historic buildings, inns, shops, restaurants and picturesque neighborhoods, competitors and spectators alike will experience two full days of competition, comraderie and fun!
